Microsoft’s Office User Research Team is conducting a variety of usability studies for individuals who use Microsoft Office Publisher for work. This is a unique opportunity to provide direct feedback to help us improve a product you use every day!

This will be conducted as a remote study, in which you will be able to participate from the comfort of your residence or your workplace. The study will run February 22nd – 24th and March 1st – 3rd, 2010at any time, with study sessions lasting approximately 2 hours.

Paid surveys are a great part time income. Paid surveys are beneficial for marketing firms and survey takers alike. Flexibility is in my opinion one of the best benefits of paid surveys.

Completing an average survey takes less then 15 minutes and pays between $ 2-10 each. Most panelist can complete an average of 4 surveys per hour. To really make enough money taking paid surveys you should join multiple paid survey panels and take multiple surveys per day. Most paid survey panels only send 1-3 surveys per week and you might not fit the demo graphical needs for the survey that they send you. By joining multiple paid survey sites you ensure that you will receive tons of surveys per day then you can pick and choose from the highest potential earning surveys for the day.

- Market research studies are designed to find out information, these survey sites want honest answers and opinions even if you don’t like a product or idea, tell them.

Today’s lesson is organization and tools, without them you will be pulling your hair trying to remember your passwords and remembering what sites you take surveys for. These tools will allow you to log into and check all your accounts in less than 2 minutes.

Setting up your bookmarks is essential; bookmarks are an easy way to navigate through the internet. They let you get to your survey sites very efficiently. To have complete control we recommend using Modzilla FireFox. It is free and has fewer bugs than Internet Explorer. Once you have downloaded, come back to this post with the new browser and move on to the next step.

- 1st you want to right click once on your tool bar at the top of the browser this will bring up a toolbar menu that asks you what you want to do? You want to select “New Folder” this will then ask you to name your folder and most likely a small description. I suggest that you simply name this “Survey Sites”

- 2nd whenever you join a survey site put the site into the folder, when you are using firefox all you have to do is left click and hold on the tab’s website and drag and drop into your folder. It’s that easy.

- 3rd (recommended) You will want to set up a new email address for just survey sites I recommend using a different service than the one you currently use now, so you can have both mail clients open at the same time. It’s not necessary but it keeps your survey emails away from your normal correspondents.

- 4th When survey sites send you invitations, add the contact to your white-list of contacts in your mail client. This way you won’t miss any available surveys.

Online Focus Groups and Product testing are great to participate in, you receive larger amounts of compensation for a minimal amount of work and you usually get the inside knowledge about the newest stuff.
